Who We Are
Summit Point Church is an evangelical community of faith ministering and teaching the good news of Jesus Christ to those who live in San Diego. Summit Point is racially-diverse, multi-generational, and family-oriented. We have something incredible for all ages!
The core purpose of our church is Helping People Find and Follow Jesus.
Summit Point’s ministry is designed to prepare individuals to engage their relational world, their oikos (the Greek word for “household”), with the tremendous news of God’s grace.

It is the dream of a place where the hurting can find help, the weak can find strength, the depressed can find comfort, the lonely can find a friend, the frustrated and confused can find peace, the hopeless can find hope, and the lost can be found.
It is the dream of providing a safe place where people can be real with God, others, and themselves.
It is the dream of enjoying unity in our diversity when it comes to age, gender, economic status, and race.
It is the dream that the tapestry of our racially diverse church will continue to be a picture of heaven here on earth.
It is the dream of seeing passionate worshippers pursue a deeper and more intimate relationship with God through unashamed worship and unapologetic preaching of God’s Word.
It is the dream of a loving church family that engages, serves, impacts, and meets the physical and spiritual needs of its community.
It is the dream of welcoming and loving all people – regardless of race or religious background.
It is the dream of a people who model Christ-likeness and graciously hold the tension between truth and love.
It is the dream of equipping every follower of Christ for personal ministry by helping them discover the spiritual gifts God has given them.
It is the dream that we will leverage venues, campus locations, and other available methods, in God’s timing, to reach people with the gospel.
